With one half-marathon behind me (Nike Women's Half, October 2008--run on a broken foot), I am setting out to be a better, faster, stronger runner one stride at a time, starting with the Portland Marathon.

Sugar might actually be the devil
Do not eat sweets (specifically, half of a Great Harvest Bakery Magic Bar) right before bed time when you have a training run in the morning (you will experience serious intestinal distress).
